Julie Kent-Ferraro
A performer since age four, Julie Kent-Ferraro is no stranger to the stage or camera. With “triple threat” training in vocal music, dance, acting, and public speaking, Julie has performed in live theater, print, commercials, and motion picture. She has worked with Coke, Safeway, Otasco, and Sonic, as well as many of the country’s top modeling agencies.

From 1984 to 1986, Julie was the hostess of “KTUL KID TIMES”, a children’s educational talk show that aired on local ABC network affiliates. Awarded the Kathleen Turner Scholarship, Julie attended Southwest Missouri State University, pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre. She was then employed by the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida as a featured entertainer, while also attending the renowned Disney University. In Nashville, Julie recorded her own country album titled “Borrowed Time”, sharing the stage with a diverse group of celebrities like Brooks and Dunn, Frankie Avalon, and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

Julie has held four titles in the Miss Oklahoma organization, including being a finalist in 1995. Curious about the other side of the performing business, Julie worked in sales and marketing for a Fox affiliate, a position she calls an “invaluable experience.”

After marrying Dr. Jay in 1997, Julie decided to use her skills building confidence and excellence through the performing arts in what Julie believes is our “greatest natural resource – our youth.” She spent nearly a decade as a voice performance coach at a private performing school, instilling a love of the arts with a distinct appreciation for hard work. “I’m proud to have students who have performed from Los Angeles to New York and won numerous awards,” said Julie. “One of my craziest honors is when I helped a student compose the ‘Oscar Mayer Jingle of the Year!’”

As a volunteer for the Miss America Organization, Julie currently serves as the Executive Director of the Miss Tulsa State Fair pageant. She holds an impressive track record with most titleholders placing in the top three at the state competition.

In 2006, Julie experienced her own nightmares becoming reality when she simultaneously faced a diagnosis of Lymphoma and infidelity within her marriage. Her strength, determination, and love for her family prevailed, and she is now proud to call herself a cancer and infidelity survivor.

Today, Julie is a sought after speaker for many family, spiritual, and women’s organizations, as well as a coach to couples healing from infidelity. Her most cherished role, however, is being a wife to Jay and a mother to their beautiful children.
